Awesome (Whole) Gym Equipment For Sale…

In the mid-90s' I owned a public gym, Warrior's Gym, in Scottsdale, Arizona. When I closed it I put the equipment in storage and it has remained stored all these years. It is in a wonderful, 100,000 sq. ft., climate-controlled facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

Several months ago I went over and had all of it taken down off the racks and put on the floor so I could see it altogether. I could not believe how much there was (I'd forgot!) and how great it looked. Over the years, I have often thought I might one day open another gym. Time enough has passed, though, and my life has moved on in certain ways for me to accept that this will not likely ever happen. Therefore, it is time for me to part ways with all the equipment.

As for the "original" value of the equipment, I would put the figure at about $175,000 to $200,000 or more. I could be low, but I do not believe I am high. If I am, and someone who has the professional expertise out there wants to show me the math, I would be more than happy to correct any inadvertent error I may be making.

My calculation is based part on my recollection of overall equipment costs (figuring conservatively and without digging around to find files that may not even exist anymore) and the fact that there are over 60 commercial selectorized pieces of equipment to start with, tons of other free weight stuff, a custom full-size wrestling ring, and other costly misc. gym equipment. Those selectorized pieces go from $1500, $1750 and on up to $2500 to $3000, even more, used.

That said, I have no set figure in my head that I must absolutely have to let it go. Moreover, I have no sentimental attachment to the equipment which would cause me to be unrealistic about its genuine value in today's market. I understand the equipment business in general and know the equipment is not worth its original value, no matter its truly excellent condition. Typically, a gym equipment broker bids on equipment by offering so much on the original dollar. My only intention is to reach a deal that would be fair and reasonable for both sides.

Bottomline, it’s great equipment and it IS a whole gym’s worth, plus some of the other often overlooked “operating” equipment one needs but does not initially consider the expense of. For someone dreaming of opening their own gym, this is just the thing to get doors open.

I am even open to donating a large part of the equipment to a proven, well-established and well-run organization, school or college or some other entity that would use it for a good cause that involved positively mentoring young people and turning them on to the life-bettering benefits of physical fitness. Of course, let me add about this about that. Something like this would have to be thoroughly checked out and verified by legal counsel, etc. So please don’t waste your time writing me with cockamamie schemes, dreaming you are going to just back up a truck, load it up and take off into the sunset. Every single aspect of something like this would have to be on the up and up and worked out in detail. If your outfit is legit, you should have no problem with the scrutiny, considering this equipment package is valuable property.

I am open to hearing out any idea any interested party may have.
