Another’s Path is Your Deadend.
“You enter the forest at the darkest point, where there is no path. Where there is a way or a path, it is someone else’s path. You are not on your own path. If you follow someone else’s way, you are not going to realize your potential.”
Hello fellow warrior,
Joseph Campbell spent his whole life studying human experience and the impact and effects mythology and religion have on it. The essence of his philosophy he put forth in this thought: “Follow your bliss.”
He wrote some great stuff. “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” is one book. It’s a classic — get it and read it.
Shortly before he died, he collaborated with PBS and did a series called The Power of Myth.
When talking about your myth(s) he said:
Only you.
YOU ARE the LIGHT.
No one has the power to illuminate the path you came here to follow. Each time you ask, look or listen to others about what you should do in your life, the darkness only grows deeper.
You’ve stood at the edge of your OWN dark, mysterious forest long enough.
Be Brave. Act Bold. Step in and START following your OWN path.

People often mistake the word “myth” to mean something that is fictitious (especially when forming misguided arguments against religion), but it’s actually an elaborate and memorable way of conveying the TRUTH. Much like your ring persona carried a message even though it was an invention. Good post.
I believe most people in today’s society are afraid to take chances and is afraid of being a failure or what other people may think of them. You to only focus on what makes self happy and how would your decisions effect others around you. The greatest selffulfillment is HELPING OTHERS and not looking for a reward at the end.
Sincerely,
