It’s a Wonderful Life, my yearly tear jerker as I wrap gifts every Christmas Eve,”to my big brother...the richest man in town...”. And Elf, the first holiday movie watched, as tradition, Thanksgiving night. Each year I take away a different line from these classics I swear I’ve never previously heard.

When we first adopted the kittens I was fascinated watching them. So different was their approach to life than that of the dogs. There’s not one person reading these words who has not been a “victim”. There are so many ways to have endured through life’s seemingly cruel hardships. I've not been immune to these circumstances but I’ve used every one of them as a lesson. I choose to reframe difficulties and disappointments as challenges that increase my fortitude, wisdom, and ultimate strength.
